Why 8in24?
The name comes from the simple, well-supported idea at the center of this blog: aiming for roughly 8 hours of sleep out of every 24 isn't just a nice-to-have, it's one of the most powerful levers most people have over their health, mood, and daily performance — and yet it's one of the first things to get sacrificed.
8in24 exists to make good sleep science genuinely usable. Not another list of "10 tips" recycled from the same five sources, but posts that explain *why* something works, grounded in real research, and written for people who are tired (often literally) of vague advice.
What You'll Find Here
- Practical, science-backed guides on falling asleep, staying asleep, and waking up rested
- Deep dives into specific sleep disorders — what they are, how they're diagnosed, and what treatment actually looks like
- Honest looks at common sleep myths (like whether alcohol actually helps you sleep)
- Coverage of new sleep research and treatment breakthroughs as they happen
